Fresh Produce– Every Thursday! Group B Boxes this Week– AND Specials to Move Surplus Veggies!

It was a great Fresh Produce Day on Thursday, but we have some goodies left that need to move, so we have marked them down to make room for the NEW STUFF coming in May 19th (Thursday):

Washington grown Asparagus—$6.75 for over 1-1/2#–great steamed or as Creamed Asparagus on Toast (Check out the Ezekiel or Silver Hills sprouted breads in the freezer! Also some interesting Mighty Manna bread that is Rye and water…that’s right: Rye & water! They also have a Seeded Manna…)

Ripe ORG Roma Tomatoes—3/$2.00 (Feeling adventurous? Make your own fresh spaghetti sauce…recipe at http://www.lloydcraftfarms.com…I let mine cook down, set over night, and serve the next day. I cheat a bit by adding a small can of tomato paste to thicken it up…)

Ripe ORG Tomatoes on the Vine—$3.50/# (bundles average less than a pound…do I hear a ho-rah for BLT’s?? Wheat Montana Bread–Flax is yummy with Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomatoes…)

Ripe ORG Bananas–$.99/# (easily frozen…dip in lemon juice, freeze individually on a cookie sheet, and transfer to a gallon freezer bag…enjoy slightly thawed as an alternative to ice cream…nice with frozen cherries, chocolate syrup, and walnuts…also handy when froze for morning smoothies!)

Why do we ‘push veggies’? Because it is the foundation for good health–our bodies are in the business of making new cells to replace those that wear out and pass on…may they rest in peace… 🙂 Give the body food it can work with, and you will have less problems with faulty DNA, and the ailments that follow…that’s one perspective! Of course, health is a little more complex, but let’s start there–

Bee Healthy is stocked with good groceries, great gifts, an abundance of teas (bagged, loose, or in small cannisters), adaptogenic Mushroom Extracts from LifeCykel (new supply that includes Oral Sprays), MedTerra CBD products, wide selection of supplements from NOW and Nature’s Sunshine, Essential oils and accessories, Candles and Salt Lamps from Aloha Bay. AND MORE! Stop in and visit…check it out…make us a regular stop on Thursday for your produce, and every other day too!
