Just a quick note as we wrap up a busy week in the garden and putting veggies boxes together! Thursday morning Special Boxes will be going to Riverton and Lander, and some veggies to Fort Washakie for their Farmer’s Market. FreshFoodsWyoming will be picking up the Casper Shares Thursday, too, AND we have CSA Pick Up at The Farm, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. (Hope you set your alarms for Thursday’s so you don’t forget!–For CSA Pick Up, we have set up Boxes in the past for those that didn’t make it, but we are pooped about 6:00 p.m. on Thursday’s, so help us out!)
The Store is amazingly stocked! New this week are full headed Imperial Broccoli, some smaller heads of Cheddar Cauliflower, and 24 pints of fresh, vine-ripened STRAWBERRIES! (Priced at $3.00 a pint, first come, first serve–) We also have lots of cucumbers, Greybull Valley Lettuces, a few bags of our own Spinach, lots of Summer Squash bags, and more of the Garlic Scapes from Cody (Shoshone River Farm). This week we have 1-1/2# bags of Organic Green Seedless Grapes, and a fresh crop of Washington Apricots…more of the Honey Mangoes, Avocados (LARGE for $3.75!), Organic Pink Lady Apples, and Lemons and Limes and Grapefruits. Also the usual Turmeric, Ginger, and Garlic bulbs. This week Cilantro and some of our own Parsley. Lots to shop for, lots of good food–Organic or organically raised.
Group D Shares this week will have an Imperial Head of Broccoli, head of Green Cabbage (either Farao or Tendersweet), Lettuce from Greybull Valley Produce, Summer Squash (Zucchini and Yellow and some Patty Pan’s), Cucumbers, Islander Peppers, and some Garlic Scapes with an Herb. (Group D12 and D1)
