March 29th is a 5th Thursday–What does that mean?  It means that ANYONE can reserve a box of fruits and veggies…Members of the Buyer’s Group or Facebook Friends or Walk-in Customers or Newbies to the Basin…ANYONE!  (FYI–Group A next box is April 5th, Group B next box is April 12th)

The Adventurous and full of WONDER Farmer’s Wife

It has been a CRAzy WEEK—but I am home…and so is my 82 year old mama!  Welcome back to Wyoming MAMA!  I am a little behinder, so will spend today getting a little aheader!  Back to serving my community with Fruits and VEGGIES…I love the good produce–know you do too!  (Don’t forget to sign up for the Summer CSA for the REAL thing–fresh and locally grown!)

We have MORE of the same produce, a little light on the fruit end (ordering while traveling on the road is a challenge)…Fruits on hand are ORG Bananas, those Large Hass Avocados, Tropicana Pineapple, Citrus, and a whole case of the ORG Lady Alice Apples!  MOST of the same veggies we carry weekly and greens, including Swiss Chard for $1.75 a bundle.  Case of ORG Mixed Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes, ORG English Cucumbers, ORG Taylor Farms Green Beans…and MORE! (Heirloom Oranges and Strawberries NEXT WEEK—the FIFTH THURSDAY.)

We are almost ready for tomorrow at Bee Healthy!  Produce sorted and bagged, fruit checked for spoilers, and everything boxed and ready for the trip to town!  So EXCITING!  I love the opportunity for good produce–hope you do too!

March 29th is the 5th Thursday–Two wonderful things are happening! 

FIRST:  5th Thursday Special Boxes.  5th Thursday is OPEN!  Either Group A or B can sign up for that extra box, and we also OPEN IT UP TO THOSE NOT CURRENTLY IN THE BUYER’S GROUP!  Sign Up Sheet is on the wall–add your name and your text contact number! Box items will be posted next week.  (DEADLINE 3/23/2018)

SECOND:  Gourmet Mushrooms!  So…this Thursday and next, there will be a Sign Up Sheet on the wall to ORDER Specialty Mushrooms. (ORDER Deadline 3/23/2018)

There are 2 choices– order will be based on the one (or ones) with the most interest.

No matter what I say Group A is this week (1st and 3rd Thursday)!  Group B is always the 2nd and 4th Thursday…which brings up another point:  March has FIVE (5) Thursday’s…So March 29th is the FIFTH THURSDAY!

• FIFTH THURSDAY is for Group A or Group B or ANYONE ELSE that signs up to PICK UP a 5th THURSDAY SPECIAL BOX on March 29th!  Items to be posted later, cost $25.  So, text me, let me know Thursday, or send me an email…431-1219, March 15th or March 22nd, craftterri@rtconnect.net.  (If you post on our FACEBOOK page I should get it, too!)
• March 29th is also going to be Gourmet Mushroom Day—how fun does that sound for you mushroom lovers?  Spokane Organics has started carrying some really unique mushrooms, but not everyone is a mushroom connoisseur so I just stick with Crimini or White for Thursday’s Buyer’s Group/Walk-in’s Welcome…and sometimes Portabello’s.  But let me know if you would like to try the SPECIALITY mushrooms and I’ll add your name to the list for the 29th.  Deadline to order is March 23rd.  More info to follow on types of mushrooms and the cost…
• LAST ITEM:  Sign up for the CSA!  This is our own garden goods July through the fall–13 or 15 week option!  Pick Up is every Thursday at The Farm for members- sorry can’t accomodate Walk-in’s in the summer.  3 types of memberships:  Weekly (1 Share-13 or 15 Shares), every other week (Leap-Frog- 7 or 8 Shares), or Monthly (3 or 4 Shares).
  

  Please note:  the purpose of the Monthly is for CSA membership.  The Store will not have the same variety of veggies as the CSA Shares, but it will have eggs, herbs, spinach and lettuce, fruit, and some of our specialty veggies.  Monthly Share is a good option for those who have their own gardens but want to supplement with organic grocery items, and shop for the whole dairy that day.  (All members have access to the EXTRA’s Table –surplus cucumbers, zucchini, & peppers, sometimes broccolettes, Diamond S Delights, and The Store every Thursday, even if it’s not your week to pick up a SHARE!)  

• Lloyd Craft Farms offers lots of opportunities for great food–Buyer’s Group/Walk-in’s Welcome, the CSA (all local, fresh, and organically raised!), and Fall Friday Special Boxes (6 weeks in Nov and Dec with our freshly harvested and stored garden goodies)! • CSA Agreements are at Bee Healthy.  check out pricing and terms at http://www.lloydcraftfarms.com ,  CSA tab.  I am there every Thursday to answer questions or help you sign up!  We do not have CSA Agreements on-line (limited to 100 shares), and payment is cash or check (PayPal on-line with a fee).  *Current members need to complete an EXTENSION.
• For our friends and members outside of Worland who will not make it to The Farm we are developing the Special Box Program (Box of veggies but no Thursday Pick Up at The Farm benefits).  More information to follow–Same veggies, delivery schedule, but slightly different payment arrangements and membership status.

The sun is still shining!  Wahooooooooo~we’ve had to turn the refrigeration on in the cooler…it’s been lightly heated during the winter months to store the onions, potatoes, and celeriac…cabbage is now gone…onions are thinning out…and the only potatoes left are seed potatoes for the 2018 Garden…AND, oh yes! Don’t forget to sign up for the CSA Thursday at Bee Healthy!  Only 100 Shares available–
