Pie and Box UPDATE: Wednesday, December 13th, 2017

Pies number 15 and 16 are in the oven…Crusts for pies 17 through 20 are made and in the fridge waiting for the oven to be free! This is a first for me–making this many pies–this is day two of a three day project!!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here–Farmer’s Wife is in the kitchen baking, and Farmer and Oldest Son went up the mountain today and brought down the evergreen for our Christmas Tree!  It’s sitting outside the back door;  We’ll bring it in tomorrow after the last of the pies are finished, and the Special Boxes are all packed and ready to go to Bee Healthy Friday morning for Pick Up.  I may have 2 Extra Special Boxes with Pies–$30 each.  (There is still a Special Box from last week at Bee Healthy–unclaimed– $25.)

A note on the pie ingredients:  All natural ingredients, organic where feasible.  Crust is coconut oil, flour, salt, water.  Ingredients for the pie are New England Pie pumpkin from our garden, half and half, brown sugar and molasses, pumpkin pie spices, cornstarch, and eggs.  Each is different as they are hand made!

I will be at Bee Healthy Friday to hand out the boxes and Pumpkin Pies, and to answer questions on Buyer’s Group/Walk-in’s Welcome which starts January 4th!  No membership fees or up-front costs–just a commitment to buy two Administrator’s Specials a month at $25.  Admin Specials include Fruits and Veggies, organic and some of our own.  We will also have extra fruit and veggies for sale for members and Walk-in’s, but the Admin Special is how you are assured you will get a balance of fruits and veggies–reserved for you!  We always stock greens, herbs, broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes, onions, and fruit, and sometimes will have an Extra Box for sale.  Buyer’s Group will be every Thursday at Bee Healthy, in the back.

Merry Christmas!  See you Friday at Bee Healthy!  The Farmer’s Wife
