Tomorrow’s Pick Up, and The STORE for CSA Members

rainbow

Shares for tomorrow will include Green Beans, Green Bells, Green Sultan cucumbers, some kind of tomato (maybe green??), Purple Dragon carrots, Corn on the Cob, and Cantaloupe!  (We bought the corn since ours pooped out–Corn is locally grown!)

The Store is expanding as has the garden this last week!  New items from the garden are Fennel Bulbs, Shoshito Peppers (great roasted or grilled, not hot but mild and paper thin), Jalapeno Peppers, Shredded Sweet Cabbage-1# bag, Cherry/Grape Tomato Clamshells, Heirloom Saladette tomatoes, Eggplant, and several bags of the Salanova Lettuce Salad Mix–Those are our items!

From Spokane Produce we will have Spinach, Nectarines, Lemons and Limes, Red Grapes, Pineapple, Mangoes, Ginger Root and Turmeric Root, and Garlic Bulbs.  I also am stocking the Beet Juice and the Beet Juice with Ginger for $3.75 each (that’s close to cost–).  Truck is late, so it will be a late night for us as well!

We are excited!  So great when things start getting ripe and we can offer new items–I’m sure some of you have said, “Cucumbers and Summer Squash…Again!” (We’ve tried to give you a variety to keep you engaged.)  Others may have said, “How many types of cabbage are there and what the heck do I do with it?” (Ask and I will elucidate!! Some are good fresh, others steamed, and even the Alcosa develops its flavor from cooking.  Be sure and read the notes by the item at Pick Up–it will give you hints and some farm-style guidance!)

See you tomorrow at 4:00 P.M. at The Farm–Support The Store, and Diamond S Delights from Hyattville with their raw milk products!
