Good morning!  I have your pre-ordered boxes at Bee Healthy today at 10:00 a.m.  REMEMBER that your box has fresh lettuce and we have NO refrigeration.  Stop by and pick up your box and get it home to the coolness of your fridge!

I also have limited amount of Avocados, Mangoes, 40# supply of Heirloom Oranges, lots of Organic Bananas, and Organic Seedless Red Grapes…very yummy 2-1/4# bags.  Also Organic Lemons and Limes so you can stock up on your hot lemon/vinegar morning drink–

The season is a-changing!  Pick up your 5th Wednesday Special Boxes Wednesday at Bee Healthy, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. You will have your choice of Red Potatoes or Yellow Potatoes–first come on choice.  $25  

We will have FRUIT for sale as well!  I’ve ordered 54# of BANANAS— Organic for $.85/#; New Season ORG RED SEEDLESS GRAPES--16 bags of 2# each for $7.25 each; Hass AVOCADOS– $1.50 each; our favorite HEIRLOOM ORANGES– $1.50/# (better than most varieties in the store–); MANGOES (look really good, rosy red)— $1.75; ORG LEMONS & ORG LIMES, too!

May 31st is the absolute deadline for the CSA–can’t put it off any longer…you or me!  I’ll be sending receipts and further directions the first week in June for the start up in July.  Only through CSA membership are the garden veggies available–this allows us to harvest and distribute, instead of spending time traveling and selling!

We are starting our 6th year–How great is that!?  Only through community support has this been possible–  THANKS!

I have ordered the produce for the 5th WEDNESDAY SPECIAL BOXES!  This final box of veggies will close out Buyer’s Group/Walk-in’s Welcome, our first program of this year (January through May)–**  

CSA membership, core of our second program for the year (July through September), will close May 31st–Your agreements must be postmarked or received by that date. UNLIKE BUYER’S GROUP THERE IS NO OPPORTUNITY TO WALK-IN AND BUY AT THE THURSDAY CSA PICKUP–MEMBERSHIP NEEDED.  

**5th WEDNESDAY SPECIAL BOXES:   Dole Pineapple Gold, 5# bag of Yellow Potatoes and 2 bundles of Green Onions, OR 5# bag of Red Potatoes and Jumbo Red Onion (choose at Pick UP), 2# cliptop carrots, 1 packet of 3 ears of corn on the cob (surprisingly tender and sweet!), English Cucumber, and bag of our own Salanova Lettuce. All neatly packaged in a box to simplify Pick up on Wednesday.

FRUIT will be available for sale May 31st: 3# bags ORG Gala Apples, Heirloom Oranges & ORG Ochoa Bananas (sold by the pound), Hass Avocados, Mangoes, ORG Lemons & ORG Limes, and ORG Red Seedless Grapes (over 2# bag-just picked)–NO VEGGIES OR GREENS FOR SALE, JUST FRUIT for this final day– 🙂

The Administrator’s Special is $22 today instead of $25–no grapes…Did not have enough for each Special.  🙁  We have 22 bags of grapes (first crop) that can be purchased separately.

Some of the highlights today:  Corn on the cob, Gem Avocados at $2.75, ORG Red Seedless grapes–2# for $7.75.  Broccoli, Caesar Salad Mix, our own Salanova Lettuce, and the last of our Red Rover Radishes.  Most of the other stuff, but in lesser quantities as we wind down to transition to the garden for July.

FYI–May 31st will be Pick Up for the Special Boxes, and a limited amount of Extra’s will be for sale:  FRUIT–apples, oranges, bananas, avocados, mangoes, grapes, and lemons. VEGGIES–asparagus, broccoli, cabbage, cucumbers, bell peppers, zucchini, and yams. GREENS–Salanova lettuce and Baby Spinach.  

I’m hoping the 5th WEDNESDAY SPECIAL BOX will have a Pineapple, 2# Carrots, Broccoli, an English Cucumber, 5# Potatoes, Onion, and our own Salanova Ultimate Salad Mix (lettuces).

FYI–we have extended the CSA closing to the end of May.  The last opportunity to join for the summer produce is May 31st, at Bee Healthy, 635 Big Horn Ave, Worland. A mailed Agreement with that post-mark is acceptable, too.  🙂

May is a busy, busy month!  We had lettuce and potatoes left-over from Buyer’s Group/Walk-in’s Welcome–lettuce is best when freshly harvested–prefer not to hold it!  We will put together 11 boxes today for delivery to Bee Healthy tomorrow morning. BOXED ITEMS—Info sheet (Care and Preparation of the veggies, and a Recipe for the French Fingerlings), Fingerling Potatoes (1-1/2#), Cabbage, Cliptop Carrots (2#), Green Bell Pepper, White Onion, Lemon and Lime, our own Salanova Lettuce (lettuce grown here in Worland in our high tunnel and harvested Monday morning, not bitter, very sweet–loft and leaf varieties in one bag for the Ultimate Salad Mix).

May 24th is the last Buyer’s Group/Walk-in’s Welcome for the season…will start again next January.  Still time to sign up for the 5th Wednesday SPECIAL BOX-$25.

A few openings remain in the CSA–WILL CLOSE the end of this month!  CSA requires a membership, starts in July and runs through September.  Cost is $175 Leap-Frog, and $350 Weekly Share—$25 down-payment will save your spot, pay in full by first Pick Up in July.

Membership Pick Up is Thursday, 4-6 p.m. at The Farm.  Membership includes an on-site store, Extra’s Table for garden surplus, Blue Heron Farm Fresh Eggs, and Diamond S Delights raw milk products.  At The Store you can purchase Fruits, Greens, Herbs, and other Specialty Items.
