Well, it is final: The CSA is done for the year! We hope all the members enjoyed the veggies and all that we were able to offer this year at Pick UP– fruit, veggies, additional greens, and our special guest Kris, Diamond S Delights with their milk, cheeses, and other raw milk products.
It was a challenging year with the extreme heat and all the havoc that followed…but the fall has been amazing! We are still harvesting those delayed crops–broccoli, cauliflower, multi-colored cauliflower, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and Deadon cabbage. In preparing for the big frost we have been able to harvest all the peppers clean, and are now working on getting potatoes, onions, and all the winter squash out of the garden and into the protection of storage.
So, what is next? Get ready for Fall Friday’s which start in November.
Watch for the announcement at http://www.lloydcraftfarms.com . This is how Fall Friday’s work: product and prices list posted Sunday, orders placed by email before Tuesday. Orders filled Wednesday and Thursday, pick up Friday at Bee Healthy. No need to sign up ahead, sales are open to anyone, pay when you pick order up at Bee Healthy. You are not required to order each week. We run Fall Friday’s for 8 weeks through the end of the year.
In January we will start up the Buyer’s Group, Walk-in’s Welcome!
