Greetings! The Farmer and I just got back from three days in Montana visiting our friends with Quality Foods Distributing/Market Day Foods–they love good quality, fresh produce…as much as we do… 🙂 It’s exciting to see the growth of the Fresh Food Movement! Heart-warming, in fact–
Reminder—Buyer’s Group is Wednesday, February 24th, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Bee Healthy. I’m placing the order tomorrow morning with Spokane Produce–Truck will be in Tuesday–door will be open Wednesday. You can pick up your CSA Agreements or Member Extensions on Wednesday, too! WALK-IN’S WELCOME!!
On the garden front, as expected the watermelon seeds are in short supply again this year–popular varieties sold out, crop failure on the yellow seedless Amarillo, and the phasing out of certain name-brands so we have to research for suitable replacements. I took a leap of faith, confident that we will sell all the shares for the CSA, and ordered all the seed for the watermelons, cantaloupes, Honey Dews, French Charentais, and Galia’s. Melons seeds are the most expensive seed we buy–I’m sure you all love them as much as we do! I’d be interested in knowing what your favorites are– 🙂 –comment on this post and let me know!
Don’t wait until the last minute to join or renew…a nod now helps us to plan for the garden size, and make informed economic decisions!
Thanking you for your past support and looking forward to a continuation.
