Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all the wonderful people that we met this year!

Happy New Year to all the wonderful people who have shared our journey for the past two years as we launched the CSA and GREW!

In 2013 we stretched from 57 to 85 Shareholders, supported our friends at Apple Apartment, created a Mini-Share for the two people households, added a Fruit Share for 29 other members, and had informal and fun classes in The Farmer’s Wife’s Kitchen! We learned what fresh celery tastes like and how crazy huge sweet potatoes can grow.
All Warm and Fuzzy thoughts to cherish–

2013 brought its challenges, too…rain and rain and rain (both Spring and Fall), flea beetles and lygus bugs, overcrowded days…but then, weather always whips the farmers around, some bugs will always insist on sharing or scarring your bounty, and there is never enough time in a day or a week…or a season!

Creative time away from the blog this year prevented me from sharing word pictures and stories from the farm–but now winter is here and time is captive for the moment…though never slowed. I hope to revamp the blog and set it up so a tidbit of a post can lead you back to the ‘farm’ for a fuller story.

2014 is nearly here!! We are looking upward and forward…Here’s a few key words that will hint on what 2014 will bring to the members of Lloyd Craft Farms CSA…more information will unfold in the near future: REFRIGERATED TRUCK, MORE MEMBERSHIPS AVAILABLE, OPPORTUNITY FOR SPRING SHARES, INFORMATION ON THE FOOD SAFETY MODERNIZATION ACT, NUTRITIONAL TRIVIA.

So, Happy NEW YEAR 2014…please stay tuned…let me hear from you…and know that I Love you all! The Farmer’s Wife
